COVID 19: the latest news to enter in the Czech Republic and to travel to/from Italy

The new year, with the latest update on 31 December 2021, has brought important news for travelers who want to enter the Czech territory from Italy and for all those who intend to enter Italy from the Czech Republic.

Transfers from Italy to the Czech Republic:
BEFORE DEPARTURE:

-It is necessary to fill the entry form: http://www.prijezdovyformular.cz.
Minors under the age of 12 and those traveling with an individual means of transport are exempt from the compilation.

-Perform a PCR test within 72 hours prior to departure.

-Holders of a certificate of residence in the Czech Republic:
* they can perform an antigen test in the 48 hours prior to departure, instead of the PCR;
* if they travel by individual means of transport, they are not required to take the test before departure;
* if they have completed the first vaccination course for at least 14 days, they are exempt from the swab before departure.

The following are exempted from the obligation to test before departure:
-All travelers vaccinated with a booster dose, i.e. those who have had the third dose or those who have had the second after a first Johnson & Johnson dose. The Dose Booster Green Pass is valid immediately.
-Minors under the age of 12.
-Minors between 12 and 18 years with two doses of the vaccine.

AFTER ARRIVAL:
-Perform a second PCR swab between the fifth and seventh day after arrival and, while waiting for the result, always wear the FFP2 mask, without the valve, even outdoors.
Travelers in possession of:
-EU Green Pass, certifying the successful vaccination, with completion of the first vaccination cycle for at least 14 days (it starts to be valid from the 15th day) or the certificate, in EU Digital Covid Certificate format, of recovering from Covid19 and conclusion of the isolation period, showing the date of the first positive PCR test, between 15 and 180 days prior to entry into the Czech Republic.

It is recommended to always consult the necessary boarding instructions provided by the airline company you are traveling with, as these may impose more restrictive measures to allow boarding.

Transfers from the Czech Republic to Italy:
BEFORE DEPARTURE:
-Fill in the European digital Passenger Locator Form https://app.euplf.eu/#/. The paper form of self-declaration can only be used in the event of technological impediments that make electronic compilation impossible.

-Be in possession of a certification stating the negative result of a PCR swab carried out in the 48 hours prior to entry into Italian territory or of an antigenic swab carried out in the 24 hours prior to entry into Italian territory. The certification must be drawn up in English, it must include the name and surname of the person concerned, the date and time of the sampling. The certification can be in paper or digital format while the result communicated via SMS is not valid.

-Be in possession of an EU Digital Certificate, certifying one of the two conditions listed below:
-successful vaccination, with completion of the vaccination cycle for at least 14 days or recovering from Covid19 occurred in the last 6 months.

Children aged 6 to 17 who are vaccinated or not, must take the test before and after entering Italy; they are not subjected to isolation if accompanied by parents with vaccination or recovery certification.

Those who are not in possession of the certificate of vaccination or recovery must:
-undergo 5-day fiduciary isolation, at the address indicated in the PLF, and carry out a second swab, antigenic or molecular, at the end of the isolation period.

The following are exempted from the obligation to test before departure:
-children under the age of 6, as well as, they are not subjected to isolation if accompanied by parents with vaccination or recovery certification.
