Datova schranka will become mandatory for all self-employed people
Starting in the new year, the datova schranka, or online data box, will become mandatory for millions of people. The obligation will apply to all self-employed people and sole proprietorships. There were plans to extend it to individuals as well, but it is still optional. Another news, related to what has just been said, will be to have, via application, ID’s or driver’s license in electronic format.
This is part of a larger project to facilitate information sharing among authorities and accelerate the digitization of state administration.
Some provisions under this law are, for example, to electronically register a traffic accident and from 2025 the possibility of electronically checking drivers: police officers will be able to check data directly from the central register of drivers, who will only have to show ID card.
