You can now reach the capital of the Czech Republic from 147 destinations

For the summer flight season, which began at the end of March, were added more than 19 destinations compared to 2021 to reach the Prague airport. “Despite the difficult situation in air transport, we are able to expand the network of direct connections with Prague ” commented Jiří Pos.

Among the new destinations there are also connections with Italy. Wizz Air will operate the Palermo route twice a week and a connection with Venice Marco Polo Airport three times a week.

The Prague airport, together with other entities, is trying to strengthen tourist arrival flows, which are still significantly lower than in the pre-pandemic period. ” We are planning to support incoming tourism in the main European markets, including Great Britain, France, Italy or Spain “, said Filip Jaroslav, Prague Airport’s commercial director.

But how have the rules for entry evolved now that the pandemic is less of a concern?

It is important to remember that, for the return to Italy, the obligation to carry out a swab for vaccinated and recovered people fell from 1 February.

However, the following obligations remain:

Those entering Italy from the Czech Republic must:

  1. Fill in the European digital Passenger Locator Form https://app.euplf.eu/#/

Only in the event of technological impediments, which make electronic compilation impossible, can the paper self-declaration form be used.

  1. Be in possession of an EU Digital Certificate / Green Pass for completing the vaccination cycle for at least 14 days or
  2. Be in possession of an EU / Green Pass Digital Certificate for complete recovery from COVID-19 in the last 6 months and termination of the isolation obligation (or equivalent certificate), or
  3. Be in possession of an EU / Green Pass Digital Certificate or equivalent certificate issued following a negative molecular or antigenic test (molecular test to be carried out in the 72 hours prior to entry into Italy, antigenic test to be carried out in the 24 hours prior to entry in Italy).

The document in point 1 ( dPLF ) is always required. If the dPLF is not completed, boarding can be denied.

The documents in points 2 to 4 are alternatives to each other. In case of failure to present one of the documents indicated in points 2, 3 or 4, entry into Italy is allowed only on the condition of undergoing 5 days of fiduciary isolation and health surveillance followed by molecular or antigen tests.
